Petersen Family Art - About Us

At Petersen Family Art, we are a family that enjoys art. Right now, we spend a lot of our art time on Photography and Painting. What we have on this web site is our Photography.

Larry and Becky grew up in the Tremonton, Utah area. Then went to Utah State University in Logan, Utah. They married and had their first son, Jared in Logan. Upon graduation, Larry got a job at AMI Semiconductor and moved to Pocatello, Idaho. They had three more sons in Pocatello, Joshua, Lance, and Adam.

Becky is the Mom. She works very hard to make a wonderful home for the rest of us. She has enjoyed Photography for many years and has been working on learning more of the technical skills with the camera for several years. She has also been learning to oil paint for a few years.

Larry's Portrait Larry is the Dad. He liked Photography in high school. In fact, he had a camera with film that was about 4 x 5 and developed that and made contact prints in the bathroom when he was younger. After years of not doing anything with it, he got back into it a few years ago. Digital is really nice because you don't need a darkroom setup to play with stuff. And he really likes computers anyway. (He even does the web site for us)

Adam is the youngest son, and the one who is into art with us. He has done some really nice pencil drawings. Then he started taking classes in oil painting and really enjoyed it. It was him pushing that got Mom into oil painting. He also loves the camera. He has a really good eye for finding interesting and pleasing compositions.
